Creamy, sweet, comforting taste of summer. Whoever said porridge was only for winter has never tried this recipe. Porridge is for any time and anywhere. By adding fresh, sweet toppings it will taste just as good during the summer periods. Summer Porridge Bowl
Serves 2
Ingredients
100g Alara gluten-free Scottish oats
200 ml of water
90 ml of almond milk
1 grated apple
1/2 ripe mango, sliced
2 strawberries
2 tbsp toasted coconut shavings
2 tbsp pomegranate seeds
1 tsp agave or maple syrup
Method
1. Put your oats, water and almond milk into a small pot. Gently heat stirring until thick and creamy.
2. Spoon the porridge into two bowls and top with grated apple, sliced mango, strawberries, toasted coconut shavings and pomegranate seeds. For extra sweetness add a drizzle of maple syrup.
